Why is Velvet Rascal jewelry made in Indonesia?

Bali has an excellent silver industry. Widely known in the jewelry world as the home of some of the world's best gold and silversmiths. Balinese silver is one of indonesia's most prestigious exports due to it's high quality.

ALSO we choose to manufacture in the developing world because our goal with this business is to help skilled crafts people in the developing world improve their standard of living by helping them generate a higher income.

Is there a Velvet Rascal store?

We do not have a Velvet Rascal store. Currently we only sell our silver jewelry through the official Velvet Rascal website.

Do you make gold jewelry?

Our pieces can be created in gold upon request. Please send us an inquiry; info@velvetrascal.com

Do your pieces contain nickel?

‎‎Absolutely not! All of our pieces are made from pure 925 sterling silver, and are all nickel free.

Can I wear Velvet Rascal jewelry in the shower?

Yes! Velvet Rascal jewelry can be worn in the shower.
However, water does cause silver to oxidize (darken/tarnish) more quickly. This means that if your wearing your jewelry in the shower you might need to polish it more frequeltly.

Can I wash my hands with Velvet Rascal rings?

Absolutley!

Soap and most hand sanitizers will be safe for both gold and silver jewelry as long as they do not contain abrasives; fibrous materials that are intended to exfoliate the skin.

Why is Velvet Rascal Jewelry made to order?

Overproduction in the fashion industry is when a brand manufactures more than what they can sell.
Overproduction means that a business is using natural resources and creating waste to produce clothing and accessories that they can't sell!
We sincerely do our best to operate in a way that keeps our environmental impact as low as possible. For this reason all Velvet Rascal pieces are made to order so that we only produce what we need.

REFUNDS

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item.
